Cooper Terry was an American blues guitarist and harmonicist, for many years active in Italy. His real name is Verl Cooper Jr.

After his first musical experiences in the United States as a session man for musicians such as John Lee Hooker and Sonny Terry, Cooper moved to Europe in 1970, settling permanently in Milan in 1972. Here he starts playing regularly on the premises flocking to the jazz and blues scene Meneghina, coming in contact with characters that will prove to be important on the way, such as harmonicist Fabio Treves and bassist Lillo Rogati, and in fact casting the foundations of what will be the blues scene in Italy.
