United Kingdom

Hackensack was first formed in 1969 by Nicky Moore and Stu Mills, but it took more than 18 months to find the correct formula with Ray Smith (guitar) and Simon Fox (drums). Hackensack worked together non-stop for about four years and earned a great LIVE reputation. They were recorded at gigs on numerous occasions, but none of the recordings were ever released.

The band and I felt that the first LP should have been live (because that was what we were known for), but it wasn't to be. Now you can hear yourself. This is Hackensack - live! No studio treatments, no cover-ups, no censorship.

JUST LIVE AND FUCKING HEAVY! (Nicky Moore, July '96)

They don't make bands like Hackensack anymore - a pity, because we sure could do with some (Pete Sarfas)
