Everyone gushes about Poppa guitar playing, and appropriately so, although he can become indulgent like most guitar players. What makes this record shine for me is the authentic, emotion packed songwriting, and Poppa soulful vocals. This is a raw record, tour a tour funky, blues, rock, that perspires sweat, love of music and the struggles of musicianship. I am a casual rather than serious fan of Poppa Chubby, but this is one record that I keep returning to.

My two favorite tracks are Long way home and What's your point ... Short of Oh Roger, that ones cannot help but to laugh out loud to. Amazingly well written and said (rather then played) little story. Keep on rocking Poppa! (Freviewer)
