Quebec's answer to Janis Joplin, Angel Forrest has captivated audiences for more than 20 years (leading her own band since she was nineteen), with her charismatic stage presence and powerful voice. No matter the setting, the blueswoman is capable of making an instant connection with her spectators. In 1996 she released her first album 'Secondhand Blues', a year later followed-up by `Angel Sings Janis' a tribute to her idol, and 'Étrange Ce Qui Dérange' (2000), 'Here for You' (2005), 'Wonderland' (2007) and 'Come Alive' (2010).

'Secondhand Blues' contains ten covers of classic blues songs, sung and played with power, style and grace. The album was described by one reviewer as `a showcase of Angel's energy and raw talent'.
