Four guys from Jersey put out an album produced by Jeff Kazee, the keyboardist in Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. It is stylistically diverse; at times you hear modern country; other times Jersey Shore R 'n' B; another song evokes Neil Young tonality and emotions regarding love such as that found on Cortez The Killer. Each and every song on the album is original in its melodic composition and lyrics with production that is off-the-scale good. But, let me be clear; while the songs do follow other performers' styles, they are not cloned copies. You'll never listen to a cut on this album and think - as I believe many of us do - when listening to Gaslight Anthem, that it's a Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tribute album. This work stands on its own two feet.

Not an album you should have but one you need to have. (Jersey Kid)
