Albert Collins has been my go-too blues artist since the 1970's. I attended his concerts every time I could. Sadly in the 1980's Blues was out-of-style. But AC was still on the road. I remember going to a small concert at the University of California, Santa Cruz, this straight acting, business man and computer salesman among all these left-over hippies and young Santa Cruz hippie want-a-bees. I didn't think any of them really appreciated Mr. Collins as much as I did. Story is, Collins was the first--or maybe one of the first to over tighten his guitar strings to get that high pitched twang characteristic of his music. Originating from Texas, story is that Jimi Hendrix copied Collin's technique. This is one of his best albums and strongly recommended for anyone that likes blues and old style rock n roll. (Hulka)
