Gamblin' 'round The World Of Southern, Blues & Rock
Wow - many thanks for this. I had this album in high school - it received a lot of airplay in new orleans. Really loved it, but lost the vinyl in Katrina and never could find it in a CD format. As far as I can tell, Cox never released anything else, but he was Van Morrison's guitarist for a long time. Again, many thanks!
Thank you pmac for the additional information to Mick Cox. This album was a request in my request section and for myself never heard of Mick Cox before, but it took me about a year to find it.
Mick died about a year ago. I think he released a couple of "new age" acoustic guitar cds in the 90s, that were only available in Europe. I know he played guitar on Morrison's Philosopher Stone, and Van also performed Stuck on You during one of his tours in the late 80s. This album is really good, and its a shame that it didn't afford Cox the opportunity to deliver a follow-up.
