An exceptional album. I prefer this over "Live in Chicago", Luther's mostly celebrated and revered album. The guitar tone is sharp and piercing as his voice -- the latter hasn't filled out and sounds much different than his it did during the Alligator years. There's something haunting about his younger voice. His guitar licks run the gamut from laid back to controlled fury...some would say that it's an amalgamation of BB's, Buddy's, and Jimi's styles. I disagree -- it's a biting style unique to Luther. After listening to these quality recordings over and over again, one cannot help but wonder why he had to go to Europe to find fame. (Robert C.
