Review by Bill Dahl

A bootleg LP, very welcome nevertheless in its day, spotlighting two of Chicago's most advanced blues pickers of the '50s and early '60s. Earl Hooker's brilliant stuff for producer Mel London dominates, but the last six sides showcase Jody Williams's taut, ringing guitar lines (especially on 1957's West Side-styled minor-key "Lucky Lou") and smooth vocals on "You May" and "Looking for My Baby."
